The Postgraduate Course in Biotechnology in Health and Investigative Medicine (PgBSMI), Master’s and Doctorate was accredited by CAPES, in January 2005, with concept 4.

PgBSMI courses are designed to train highly qualified professionals for the exercise of academic, scientific and technological activities in their areas of concentration.

The aim of the Master’s Degree is to deepen the technical, scientific and ethical knowledge of the student, aiming the qualification cited before. The aim of the Doctorate is also to develop the capacity to research with autonomy and originality and to produce new knowledge.

PgBSMI will capacitate its students to update themselves in their areas of training based on problem-solve and critical analysis of world scientific production in their specific areas.
